Church calendar announcements can be submitted to the Herald by mail, ATTENTION:
CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENT CALENDAR, by phone (764-9031) or hand delivered to the office. Because the length of our church calendar is determined by the amount of space available, not all submitted items will appear. Your item can start at the bottom, but will move upward as the event date approaches. Church calendar items are printed free of charge. Sometimes we may not be able to run your ad as specified. If your ad is to be printed on specific days or written in a specific way, it should serve as a paid ad.
Items submitted for current events will last two weeks and may be resubmitted every three months.
ONLINE SERVICE for Statesboro New Covenant Church will run Sunday at 10 a.m. via the church’s web page at sncconline.com.
SERVICE will be held Sunday at Saint Mary’s Baptist Missionary Church, Mallard Pond Road, starting at 10 a.m. with Sunday School followed by regular worship service at 11 a.m. The service can also be viewed through the church’s YouTube channel.
The collection service, “Rivers, Rites and Rituals,” will take place Sunday at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Statesboro, Cypress Lake Road, starting at 10:30 am. Masks are required in the presence of children. Refreshments will follow the inauguration and blessing of the new storage shed. The service will be available through Zoom. Events to come
The REMNANT 2021 Youth Conference will be held August 13-14 at the Restoration Worship Center, Southeast Broad Street, Metter, starting at 7 p.m. Friday. Saturday activities start at 10 a.m. and lunch will follow. Joshua Peavy will be the guest. Admission is $ 15 / person for a group of 1 to 4 people; $ 12 / person for a group of 5 to 9 people and $ 10 / person for a group of 10 people or more. GOD TALKS, an interfaith ministry, will meet on August 14 at 10 a.m. in the Multipurpose Hall of Statesboro New Covenant Church, Gentilly Road. Dr. Virginia Rogers, assistant professor teaching fashion merchandising at Georgia Southern University, will give her personal testimony. Use the side entrance.
SERVICE will take place on August 15 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Statesboro, Cypress Lake Road, starting at 10:30 am with Clint Tawes as a guest speaker. Subject: “What are we waiting for?” Masks are compulsory in the presence of children. Refreshments will follow the inauguration and blessing of the new storage shed. IN-PERSON services for the original first African Baptist Church, Westside Road, will take place every second and fourth Sunday starting at 10:30 a.m. and can be viewed through the church’s Facebook page. The first and third Sunday services begin at 10:30 a.m. and can be viewed through the church’s Facebook page.
CHILDREN’S CHURCH will be held on Sunday from 11:15 a.m. to noon at the Clito Baptist Church. For children aged 4 to 6. There will be Bible stories, songs and crafts.
BOYS ON Mentorship sessions are held every fourth Saturday at the City of David Worship Assembly on Institute Street, starting at 8:00 a.m. Breakfast will be served. Transport insured. Social distancing will be practiced. For more information call Bro. Mitchell at (912) 486-3210.
