The final season of The Walking Dead, will we finally know the fate of Heath?

Some characters simply disappear from existence in The walking dead, and although they are minor characters, they deserve a good start. Even a death torn apart by a walker is better than just vanishing. One character that may have been brought up in the Season 11 premiere has not been seen since Season 7 is Heath.

Corey Hawkins played Heath, and since leaving the show he has starred in many other projects. Straight Outta Compton, Kong: Skull Island, 24: Legacy, BlacKkKlansman, 6 Underground, Survive, Dust and In the heights. It’s great to see him in so many other things… but where is Heath?

In the comics he is seen for years and part of the militia and even after the 25 year time jump he is not seen but is confirmed to be still alive.

Did the “Acheron Part 1” season premiere give any hint about Heath?

The final season of The Walking Dead, is Heath alive?

Numerous media and fans have commented on the fact that the name Heath has been spotted on The Wall of the Lost. And, not a fuzzy and distorted name, but a fairly obvious and clearly written name.

If you don’t remember, Heath was an original member of Alexandria and he wasn’t afraid to question Rick and his leaders. We last saw him with Tara as they were overwhelmed by walkers; Tara falls on the bridge, he retreats. She eventually returns to the bridge to find Heath, and the motorhome they had traveled in has left with only her glasses and a plastic car with PPP written on it. The strangest thing about this character’s disappearance is that Tara never even mentions him when she returns, and no one ever looks for him.

In 2018, showrunner Angela Kang told Insider about the disappearance of the character and a familiar-looking motorhome that was seen in Jadis / Anne’s junkyard.

It was kind of the intention we had in mind all this time. Even in this season when you know we had to write the wonderful Corey Hawkins because he had huge opportunities in the feature film world… those seeds were already planted there.

So we see the name Heath on the Wall of the Lost in the Commonwealth. I know it’s exciting because we’re really hoping to see some familiar faces as we move into the final season, but in reality it all means someone who loves someone named Heath is looking for him. It would be really cool if we could see it. But, if Jadis / Anne traded it, it’s with the CRM, not the Commonwealth.

The walking dead returns to AMC on Sunday August 29.
