4medica to Provide COVID-19 Screening Mobile Application for Executive War College Clinical Laboratories Conference in San Antonio November 2-3 | Texas News

SAN ANTONIO, November 1, 2021 / PRNewswire / – 4medica®, a leader in healthcare data quality and patient matching technology, is providing 2021 Executive War College (EWC21) with COVID-19 screening technology this week on the laboratory and pathology management in San Antonio, Texas, 2-3 November.

The 4medica 4health.me app will be used to help EWC conference attendees record their COVID-19 vaccination details, attach an image of their vaccination card, and securely view vaccination status via a QR code feature for conference staff to see. Almost 350 participants from across the country and the UK are expected to attend the event.

EWC is operated by The Dark Intelligence Group (TDIG), which does not require conference attendees to be vaccinated. 4medica will provide the 4health.me app to all registered attendees, speakers and vendors. The mobile app includes a daily COVID-19 screening questionnaire to further keep everyone safe throughout the two-day conference at the Hyatt Riverwalk in San Antonio.

“4medica understands the paramount importance of COVID-19 safety protocols for in-person events, especially for this important gathering of medical laboratory and pathology professionals,” said Gregg Church, president of 4medica. “We are extremely proud to have been selected to help EWC conference staff administer their COVID-19 safety program.”

Before being admitted to the conference each day, attendees must answer several screening questions that meet CDC COVID-19 guidelines before checking into a lobby-level screening station, where their temperatures will be scanned and entered. in the 4medica COVID app. The app’s algorithm will then assess the level of risk for each participant based on their temperature and the answers to screening questions.

Each person with a “pass” score will be given a sticker to affix to their conference badge indicating that their COVID screen that day was negative. People whose scores fall below the “past” level will be referred to an adjacent testing station where a trained healthcare professional will administer a rapid molecular test for SARS-CoV-2. Participants with negative test results will receive a sticker and will be allowed to enter the conference, but those who test positive will not be allowed to enter the venue.

4medica 4health.me is a downloadable Patient Health Record (PHR) application for mobile phones. It is widely used by clinical laboratories across the country to securely share test results with patients and includes the ability to import all medical records from multiple supplier sources. During the COVID-19 pandemic, 4medica developed additional wellness management features for the 4health.me app to help employers, colleges, schools and even travel companies confidently screen exposure to COVID-19 and active symptoms.

The title of the Executive War College The conference is “Preparing your clinical laboratory and your pathology group for post-pandemic success”.
