Cambia Health Foundation Announces 10 New Sojourns® Fellows and Opens 2022 Leadership Program Application Process
The Sojourns Scholar leadership program is designed to identify, cultivate and advance the next generation of leaders in palliative care. As part of the leadership program, each Sojourns Scholar receives $ 180,000 in financing ($ 90,000/ year over two years) to carry out an innovative and impactful project on the clinical, political, educational, health equity or systems change levels in the field of palliative care. Fellows also participate with other researchers in a collaborative learning community while benefiting from one-on-one mentorship to design and implement a plan that supports the completion of their project as well as their growth and development as leaders. national palliative care.

Since the inception of the program in 2014, the Foundation’s deliberate investment in palliative care leadership has recognized more than $ 15 million to 84 academics across the country. The fellows represent different areas of the palliative care team including physicians, nurses, chaplains, pharmacists and social workers, but all are committed to improving the experience of people with serious illness and their caregivers. .

Call for Applications for the SojournsÂ® 2022 Fellowship Leadership Program
The Foundation opened the 2022 SojournsÂ® Scholar Leadership Program Call for applications. Interested persons must submit a letter of intent by March 7, 2022. After review, a select group of applicants will be invited to submit full grant applications by March 31, 2022.
