The faithful had to hear mass in front of the San Juan de Nepomuceno church on Sunday, November 13, for security reasons.

The Provincial Ancient Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (Antique PDRRMO) discovered cracks during an inspection at the church listed by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) as a National Historic Site.

The coral stone shrine is said to be one of the last Catholic churches built at the start of the Philippine Revolution against colonial Spain.

Several minor earthquake damages were reported in Anini-y.

The quake happened two weeks after Antique suffered massive damage from the severe tropical storm ”Paeng”.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. visited Antique last week to check on people’s status.
